Ranked #2 on our “Byward’s Best Lunches Under $15” is Ahora, a very popular Mexican restaurant as is evident by the very large lunch crowds. Very casual and laid back with its primary coloured walls and furniture, it’s a great place to get a quick bite to eat. The food is simple, tasty, & flavorful and the condiments are a real treat: the coriander and pepper sauces are delicious and the salsa screams freshness. Enchiladas, quesadillas, tacos, salsa, margaritas, churros – this family run business has all the mexican comfort foods. The service is oh so speedy, the food being ready barely before we had finished getting our sauces. The servings are quite large and the food is cheap, with my burritos & rice/salad coming in at under $9. Definitely a winning combination :0)
