Ranked #6 on our “Byward’s Best Lunches Under $15” is Memories, a locale better known for its desserts but its light meals are delicious. Their better known lunch specials include gourmet sandwiches, quiches, soups and salad. As a regular customer, I have yet to try a sandwich or quiche that I haven’t liked, and the raspberry vinaigrette on the mixed greens quite literally makes the salad. Add the fact that the cakes are made on site (their berry pies are delicious), the regular coffee is actually quite good, and the restaurant has a cozy intimate feel, any wonder why I’m a repeat customer? Only negative is that it is a sit down place – no quick lunch option here.
*note that meal + dessert is not under $15, unless you split the dessert between 2 people.
