#9 – A Culinary Conspiracy

Posted on October 25, 2011 by Sonia Riahi

Ranked #9 on our “Byward’s Best Lunches Under $15” is A Culinary Conspiracy, a family run casual eatery, with food that is anything but casual in flavor.  A bit of a trek from the Byward Market, this place is way down Rideau near Shawarma Palace.  But if you do find yourself in need of a walk between projects or client meetings, then this place is worth the visit (or if you’re driving, they offer plenty of free parking).  Known for their freshly made soups, salads & sandwiches, their food is delicious without weighing you down.  For those that want to “fake” a home cooked dinner, they have an extensive selection of take home meals, including fancy chicken liver  pate and salmon mousse, savoury pies, salads, pasta, protein and Art-Is-In bread.  And for those of you with a sweet tooth, A Culinary Conspiracy offers a large selection of cakes (for those of you that love “Oh So Good“, they carry many of the same cakes, including the Pink Velvet spice cake that I love so much), baked goods and coffees.  A complete meal in under $15.
